WATERLOO, Iowa — A motorcycle crash in Waterloo on Wednesday afternoon resulted in the death of a 43-year-old man.
Authorities identified the victim as Marcus Porter, who was riding a green 2001 Kawasaki ZX900 on Sergeant Road near Freedom Lane.
The Waterloo Police Department responded to the scene at approximately 3:47 p.m. after Black Hawk County Consolidated Dispatch received a 911 call.
Upon arrival, officers discovered Porter had been thrown from his motorcycle and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Initial reports indicate Porter was traveling north when he left the roadway, hit the shoulder, and crashed into the median.
The crash is currently under investigation.
