CHARLOTTE, N.C. – A 17-year-old motorcyclist died following a crash involving two cars on I-85 Saturday night.
The incident occurred around 7:30 p.m. in the southbound lanes near the Sugar Creek exit. According to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, the motorcycle was struck by two speeding vehicles, ejecting the rider, identified as Alex Rodriguez.
Emergency responders transported one of the car drivers to a local hospital with minor injuries. Authorities said there are currently no details on possible charges related to the incident.
