18-Year-Old Firefighter Dies in Clermont County Motorcycle Crash
CLERMONT COUNTY, Ohio — An 18-year-old firefighter was killed in a motorcycle accident on State Route 131 in Miami Township on Monday.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Wyatt Fisher was traveling eastbound when he struck the rear of a vehicle slowing in traffic. The impact caused Fisher to cross the center line and collide with another vehicle. He succumbed to his injuries at UC Medical Center.
Fisher was actively involved with the Stonelick Township Fire Department and was a cadet with Wayne Township Fire Department. He had recently joined the Clermont Northeastern High School boys soccer team as an assistant coach.
Witnesses described Fisher as a dedicated individual who made a positive impact on those around him. “He cared deeply about others and for their safety,” said Timothy Bilby, a close friend.
Funeral services are set for Friday, July 17, at Clermont Northeastern High School, preceded by a visitation on Thursday evening. Following the service, a fire service procession will take Fisher to Batavia Union Cemetery for burial.
A GoFundMe page has been established to support Fisher’s family, with any remaining funds designated for charitable causes in his name. Authorities have not indicated if any charges will follow the investigation.
