Motorcyclist Dies in I-84 Crash Near Boise

A 20-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a collision on Interstate 84 near Boise on Sunday evening. The incident occurred around 4:50 p.m. near mile marker 48, just west of South Maple Grove Road.

Jordon Myers-Rose, a resident of Meridian, was riding a Kawasaki motorcycle when he rear-ended a minivan driven by a 60-year-old woman from Meridian, according to Idaho State Police. Following the initial impact, Myers-Rose was struck by a pickup truck driven by a 61-year-old Boise man.

Myers-Rose was transported to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in critical condition but succumbed to multiple blunt force injuries shortly after arrival. The Ada County Coroner’s Office confirmed his death on Monday.

Eastbound lanes of I-84 were blocked for approximately 90 minutes as emergency response teams, including the Idaho State Police, managed the scene. An investigation is ongoing.

Authorities are examining all aspects of the crash.
