Multi-Vehicle Collision Reduces Alaska Highway to One Lane South of Whitehorse
WHITEHORSE, YT — A multi-vehicle collision has led to a one-lane restriction on the Alaska Highway south of Whitehorse as of 10:00 a.m. on December 10, 2025.
According to the Yukon RCMP, two transport trucks were involved in the incident, blocking the roadway in the Judas Creek area. Emergency crews were deployed to the scene to assess the situation and manage traffic.
Authorities rerouted vehicles around the area using Tagish Road and the South Klondike Highway. The highway was subsequently reopened to alternating lanes of traffic early Wednesday afternoon.
Details regarding injuries, fatalities, or the cause of the collision have not been confirmed. The RCMP have indicated that additional information will be provided as it becomes available.
