Multi-Vehicle Collision on Interstate 65 Causes Injuries, Lane Closures in Montgomery
MONTGOMERY, AL — A multi-vehicle collision occurred on Interstate 65 southbound near mile marker 170 at approximately 2:41 p.m. on October 11, 2023, resulting in multiple injuries and lane closures.
According to the Alabama Department of Public Safety, the crash involved three vehicles, including a pickup truck and two sedans. Emergency responders from the Montgomery Fire Department and Alabama State Troopers arrived on the scene to assist with medical aid and traffic control.
At least two individuals were transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. No fatalities have been reported.
Witnesses reported that heavy traffic occurred as a result of the incident, prompting temporary lane closures while debris was cleared. The southbound lanes remained partially blocked for approximately one hour.
