GRAY, Maine — A motorcyclist sustained serious injuries in a collision with a car on Monday morning.

The crash occurred around 6:30 a.m. at the intersection of West Gray Road and Ramsdell Road, according to the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office. Preliminary investigations indicate that Cheryl Royal, 59, of Gray was turning left onto West Gray Road in a Ford Explorer when a southbound motorcyclist on a Harley Davidson struck the vehicle’s driver’s side.

The motorcyclist, identified as 50-year-old William Segler of Windham, was transported to Maine Medical Center with serious injuries. Royal was not injured in the incident.
