A 75-year-old motorcyclist sustained serious injuries in a crash involving an SUV in New London Township, Minnesota, on Saturday afternoon.
The incident occurred at approximately 3:14 p.m. on the 16000 block of County Road 9 Northeast, according to the Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office. A 65-year-old man driving a 2008 Hyundai SUV was southbound when he slowed to turn into a driveway, leading to the motorcycle rear-ending the SUV.
The motorcyclist from Benson, Minnesota, was airlifted to St. Cloud Hospital with life-threatening injuries. The SUV driver was uninjured.
Authorities confirmed the crash is under investigation. Lane closures were in effect during the response.
