Motorcyclist in Critical Condition Following Accident in North Macon
NORTH MACON, GA – A motorcyclist sustained critical injuries in a collision on Sunday afternoon.
The incident occurred at approximately 2:41 p.m. on U.S. Highway 80 near the intersection of Northside Drive. According to the Georgia State Patrol, a motorcycle and a sedan were involved in the crash. The 28-year-old motorcyclist was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Emergency services, including the MACON-BIBB County Fire Department, responded to the scene. Witnesses reported the motorcycle was traveling eastbound when the collision occurred.
Authorities confirmed that two lanes of traffic were closed for investigations and cleanup. As of now, the investigation into the crash is ongoing, with no charges filed.
