Motorcyclist Collides with Tree in Phoenix Crash
A motorcyclist was injured in a collision with a tree on Sunday afternoon in Phoenix.
The incident occurred at approximately 3:15 p.m. near the intersection of Central Avenue and Camelback Road. According to the Phoenix Police Department, the rider, a 26-year-old man, was traveling southbound when he lost control and struck the tree.
Emergency medical services transported the motorcyclist to a local hospital with serious injuries. Authorities said no other vehicles were involved in the crash.
The police closed Central Avenue in the vicinity for several hours to conduct an investigation. Traffic was rerouted while crews worked at the scene.
As of now, the investigation into the circumstances leading to the crash is ongoing. Witnesses reported seeing the motorcycle lose speed before veering off the road.
