Brunswick Man Charged in Fatal Bicyclist Crash on Old Bath Road.

BRUNSWICK, Maine — A 23-year-old bicyclist was killed late Monday night on Old Bath Road, with the driver facing multiple charges, according to authorities.

The incident occurred around 11:30 p.m. near the Route 1 overpass. The bicyclist, identified as Silas Octavi Esquivel Perez of Brunswick, was pronounced dead at the scene, officials said.

The driver, 41-year-old Lance Lucas-Wallace, initially left the scene but later returned. He has been arrested and charged with aggravated leaving the scene of a personal injury accident, manslaughter, and operating under the influence involving death, all felonies.

Bail has been set at $100,000 cash. Lucas-Wallace was taken to the Cumberland County Jail and is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 16, 2025, according to police.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
