Man Indicted for Fatal Bethany Crash on Route 63
BETHANY, NY (June 16, 2025)—Marquel Kennedy, 28, of California, has been indicted for Manslaughter 2nd, Criminally Negligent Homicide, and Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle 2nd following a fatal crash on Route 63.
The incident occurred around 10:05 p.m. on June 16, when Kennedy was driving a 2008 Volvo SUV northbound, attempting to pass multiple vehicles. He collided head-on with a southbound 2017 Honda motorcycle operated by Ryan A. Farley, 40, of Hemlock, NY. Farley was pronounced dead at the scene.
Kennedy was transported to United Memorial Medical Center for observation. He was arraigned in Genesee County Court, where he was remanded to Genesee County Jail on cash bail. Kennedy is scheduled to return to court on June 17, 2026.
