Central Point Couple Killed in Collision Involving Pickup and Motorcycle.

JACKSON COUNTY, Ore. — A Medford woman was arrested following a fatal motorcycle crash on Highway 62, which claimed two lives on May 11.

Kristin Michelle Cowan, 35, reportedly drove a Dodge Ram pickup that collided with a Kawasaki Eliminator motorcycle near milepost 3 around 9:38 p.m. Both vehicles were traveling westbound at the time of the incident.

The motorcycle’s operator, John Daren Stribling, 56, and his passenger, Bobbie Lynn Stribling-King, 44, both of Central Point, were declared dead at the scene, according to authorities.

Cowan reportedly sustained no injuries. Impairment is believed to be a significant factor in the crash, and the investigation remains ongoing.

The highway was closed for approximately seven hours as investigators processed the scene. Cowan was arrested and taken to the Jackson County Jail on charges of Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants (DUII), reckless driving, and manslaughter.

Additional assistance was provided by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office and the Jackson County District Attorney’s Office.
