Colorado Man Dies in Motorcycle Crash Near Guernsey.

GUERNSEY, Wyo. — A motorcycle crash on U.S. Highway 26, west of Guernsey, resulted in the death of a 62-year-old man on Nov. 20.

According to the Wyoming Highway Patrol, Kerry Gunn was riding a Harley-Davidson west on U.S. 26 when a Ford F-150 crossed into his lane while attempting to pass another vehicle. Both vehicles veered toward the ditch on the north side of the road in an effort to avoid a collision, leading to a crash that ejected Gunn from his motorcycle.

Authorities noted that Gunn was not wearing a helmet at the time of the incident, and driver inattention may have contributed to the crash. Emergency response teams were dispatched to the scene, and the circumstances surrounding the crash remain under investigation.

As of this date, there have been 109 fatalities on Wyoming roadways this year, compared to 99 in 2024, 136 in 2023, and 124 in 2022.

This information is preliminary and may be subject to change, as reported by the Wyoming Highway Patrol via the Wyoming Department of Transportation’s Fatal Crash Summary map.
