MILBERTON, NY — A motorcycle crash on June 29 left one person dead and another critically injured, prompting an online fundraiser for recovery support.
Authorities reported that the collision occurred on state Route 22, involving two motorcycles and a car. According to the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office, a rider was pronounced dead at the scene, while the second motorcyclist was transported to Vassar Hospital in critical condition.
The deceased has been identified as Tim Nurnberg, a devoted father and friend. The injured motorcyclist, Eran Troy Danner, a musician from Bethlehem, underwent three surgeries following the incident and has since been moved to Westchester Medical Center, where he remains in the ICU.
Organizers launched a GoFundMe campaign to assist Danner with medical expenses and other costs related to his recovery. As of Monday evening, nearly $90,000 has been raised.
The cause of the crash is under investigation, and no further details on the individuals involved have been released. A spokesperson for the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office stated that inquiries into the incident are ongoing.
Separate fundraising efforts are also underway to honor Nurnberg, highlighting his impact on family and friends.
