A multi-vehicle collision on I-70 in Clark County resulted in two fatalities and multiple injuries, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Troopers responded at approximately 1:05 p.m. to the crash involving three vehicles in the westbound lanes near mile marker 59, the Patrol confirmed.
Emergency medical personnel transported four individuals to local hospitals, two of whom sustained critical injuries, authorities said.
The westbound lanes of I-70 were closed for approximately three hours while crews cleared the scene, and tow trucks removed the vehicles involved.
An investigation into the cause of the collision is ongoing, and authorities urged drivers to avoid the area as traffic resumes.
