Deer collision with motorcycle results in fatal injuries in Ann Arbor

A motorcycle rider was fatally injured after colliding with a deer in Ann Arbor, Michigan, early Sunday morning. The incident occurred at approximately 12:50 a.m. in the vicinity of Jackson Avenue and Worden Avenue, according to the Ann Arbor Police Department.

The 20-year-old victim was traveling eastbound on Jackson Avenue when the collision took place. Authorities reported that the rider, identified as Benjamin F. Gates, was transported by Huron Valley Ambulance to the University of Michigan Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

The Ann Arbor Fire Department also responded to the scene. No further details regarding lane closures or an ongoing investigation were immediately available.
