Two-Vehicle Collision Causes Lane Closures on Highway 101
Santa Rosa, CA – A two-vehicle collision on Highway 101 North, near the 12th Street exit, occurred at approximately 2:41 p.m. on October 9. Authorities reported that the crash involved a sedan and a pickup truck.
Emergency services from the California Highway Patrol (CHP) and local fire departments responded to the scene. Two individuals sustained injuries and were transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. The severity of their injuries has not been disclosed as of this time.
Both northbound lanes of Highway 101 were closed for about 45 minutes while responders attended to the injured and cleared debris from the roadway. One lane has since reopened, but motorists are advised to expect intermittent closures as an investigation continues.
According to witnesses at the scene, the impact of the collision was significant, causing extensive damage to both vehicles. The cause of the accident remains under investigation by the CHP.
