FAIRFAX, VA — A 22-year-old man died Tuesday in a motorcycle crash involving a semi-truck on Route 29, according to authorities.
The incident occurred just before 2 p.m. in the 12800 block of Route 29, Fairfax County Police reported. The motorcyclist, identified as Mikhail Perry, was traveling northbound on a 2005 Ducati motorcycle when a southbound 2016 Mack semi-truck attempted a U-turn and collided with him.
Perry was pronounced dead at the scene, as confirmed by police. The Fairfax County Police Department’s Crash Reconstruction Unit is investigating the incident, and authorities indicated that speed may have been a factor for the motorcyclist.
