Multi-Vehicle Collision on I-40 Results in Injuries, Lane Closures
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (October 4, 2023) — A multi-vehicle collision on Interstate 40 near mile marker 152 occurred at approximately 2:41 p.m., leading to confirmed injuries and significant lane closures.
According to the Arkansas State Police, the accident involved five vehicles, with at least two individuals transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Emergency responders from the Little Rock Fire Department and Pulaski County EMS were on scene to assist.
Authorities stated that both westbound lanes of I-40 are temporarily closed as crews continue to clear the wreckage and conduct an investigation. Tows are expected to last until approximately 5:00 p.m. as clean-up operations progress.
Traffic is being diverted to the exit ramp at mile marker 150, with delays reported back to mile marker 155. Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes.
