LAS VEGAS — A motorcyclist died following a crash on State Route 167 near mile marker 16 Sunday morning.
The incident occurred just before 9 a.m., according to Nevada State Police. A red 2024 Ducati Panigale motorcycle was reportedly traveling too fast for conditions while entering a curve.
Authorities said the rider left the roadway, traveled into the desert, and was subsequently ejected when the motorcycle overturned. The rider was identified as 44-year-old Nicholas Sean Miller of Henderson and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Emergency response teams arrived promptly, and the investigation into the accident is ongoing. This incident marks the 17th fatal crash of the year in the Nevada State Police Highway Patrol’s Southern Command.
