Motorcyclist Killed in Marion County Crash
MARION COUNTY, FL – A 59-year-old man from Anthony was killed in a motorcycle crash on Saturday, July 25, 2026.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the motorcyclist was traveling north on CR 35 north of SR 326 at approximately 4:30 p.m. when he failed to negotiate a left curve. The motorcycle veered off the roadway and collided with a fixed traffic sign.
The impact ejected the rider, and the motorcycle subsequently entered a ditch. He was transported to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries. Authorities confirmed that he was not wearing a helmet at the time of the incident.
This marks the third motorcycle-related fatality in Marion County in 2026 involving only one vehicle, contributing to a total of 12 motorcycle fatalities this year.
