Idaho Man Sustains Severe Injuries in Western Kansas Motorcycle Crash.

NORTON, Kan. (WIBW) – A motorcycle rider was hospitalized following a collision with a pickup truck Monday morning in Norton County.

The crash occurred at 10:25 a.m. on US-36 highway at Timber Ridge Lane, near Norton. According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a 2010 Ford F-150 pickup truck traveling west attempted to turn south onto Timber Ridge Lane and struck a 1997 Harley-Davidson motorcycle heading east on US-36.

The motorcycle collided with the passenger side of the Ford truck after it turned in front of the motorcycle. Frank J. Daniels, 73, of Boise, Idaho, sustained serious injuries and was transported to Swedish Medical Center in Englewood, Colorado. Authorities noted that he was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

The driver of the Ford truck, Ronald B. Zwickle, 77, of Norton, reported no injuries and was wearing his seat belt. Both vehicles were towed from the scene, and authorities are continuing their investigation into the incident.
