BENTON, Wis. — A 79-year-old man from Galena, Illinois, was airlifted to a hospital with severe injuries following a motorcycle crash on Monday at approximately 11:20 a.m.
According to authorities, the man was traveling east on County Highway W when he failed to negotiate a curve near the intersection of Dump Road. He left the roadway, struck a fence, and was ejected from the motorcycle.
Emergency responders from the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office, Benton Fire Department, and Hazel Green EMS arrived at the scene. The injured man was transported by UW Medflight to UW Hospital in Madison for treatment.
There were no additional reports of injuries or fatalities from the incident. An investigation into the crash is ongoing, and no lane closures were reported.
