Clinton County Accident Claims Life, Injures One
CLINTON COUNTY, IA—A fatal accident occurred on U.S. Highway 30 at approximately 3:15 p.m. on October 10, resulting in one death and one injury.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, the crash involved two vehicles—a sedan and an SUV. One driver, a 40-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene. Another driver, a 35-year-old woman, sustained serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital.
Emergency response included the Iowa State Patrol and local fire and medical units. Both westbound lanes of U.S. Highway 30 were briefly closed for the investigation and vehicle removal.
Authorities said the investigation is ongoing, but no charges have been filed at this time.
