Jamestown Man Suffered Severe Injuries in Local Crash.

JAMESTOWN, N.D. (JPD) – A motorcycle accident involving a pickup occurred at the intersection of 8th Ave NE and 13th St NE on [date], at approximately [time].

A 24-year-old male motorcyclist from Jamestown was injured when his 2010 Honda motorcycle was struck by a 1993 Ford Ranger driven by a juvenile from Jamestown. The North Dakota Highway Patrol Trooper was first on scene and provided aid until the Jamestown Area Ambulance transported the motorcyclist to Jamestown Regional Medical Center. He was later transferred to a Fargo hospital for further treatment.

According to the initial investigation, the Ford Ranger was traveling south on 8th Ave NE and came to a stop at the stop sign before entering the intersection and colliding with the motorcycle, which was traveling west on 13th St NE. The motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.

The driver of the Ford Ranger stated they did not see the motorcycle and believed the intersection was clear. Authorities have cited the driver for failure to yield.

The Jamestown Police Department, assisted by the North Dakota Highway Patrol and Jamestown Area Ambulance, is continuing to investigate the incident. Further details regarding lane closures or additional injuries have not been released.
