KANSAS CITY, Kan. (KCTV) — A motorcycle collision with a passenger car resulted in one death early Thursday morning at the intersection of South 47th Street and Melody Lane.
Authorities responded at approximately 12:30 a.m. on July 30 to reports of the two-vehicle crash. The impact caused one vehicle to catch fire.
Emergency medical personnel transported the motorcycle operator to a nearby hospital, where they were later pronounced dead. The victim’s identity has not yet been released.
The Kansas City, Kansas Police Department (KCKPD) Traffic Division is investigating the incident. Witnesses or anyone with information are encouraged to contact the Crime Stoppers TIPS hotline at 816-474-TIPS (8477).
