Lovington Man Dies in Lea County Motorcycle Accident.

LEA COUNTY, NM – A motorcyclist was killed in a crash on June 17 at approximately 10:16 a.m. on West Gum Street.

According to the Lea County Sheriff’s Office, deputies found 49-year-old Chadwick Taylor of Lovington, NM, injured in the roadway. A burnt Harley-Davidson motorcycle was located nearby. Despite medical aid, Taylor succumbed to his injuries.

The sheriff’s office Traffic Unit is handling the investigation. Authorities encourage anyone with information to contact them.


ALBUQUERQUE, NM – A crash with injuries occurred in the South Valley on Saturday afternoon, prompting a traffic alert from the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office at 1:25 p.m.

The incident closed southbound Coors Boulevard at Old Coors Drive. Details regarding the extent of injuries have not been released. Motorists are advised to use Unser Boulevard as an alternate route.


HALFWAY, NM – Traffic was disrupted on U.S. 62/180 on Sunday afternoon due to an accident near mile marker 68, one mile east of Halfway.

An advisory from NMRoads reported both inside lanes were closed for eastbound and westbound traffic as of 6:07 p.m. Motorists are urged to exercise caution and be alert to emergency personnel in the area.
