GALLUP, NM – A fatal multi-vehicle crash occurred on Interstate 40 in McKinley County on Saturday night, leading to lane closures.
According to the McKinley County Sheriff’s Office, the incident happened at approximately 10 p.m. at the 38.5 mile marker near Gallup. Preliminary reports indicate that a suspected drunk driver was traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes, crashing into a semi-truck, which subsequently collided with another semi.
The identity of the deceased has not been released, and the incident remains under investigation. Authorities closed one lane in both directions on the interstate for safety and cleanup.
ALBUQUERQUE, NM – A crash disrupted traffic on Dennis Chavez Boulevard late Monday night.
The Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office reported that at 11:23 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the scene near Atrisco Vista Boulevard. Westbound lanes of Dennis Chavez Boulevard were closed while emergency crews cleared the wreck.
Drivers were advised to proceed with caution. All lanes reopened approximately 90 minutes later.
MESQUITE, NM – A crash impacted traffic on Interstate 10 westbound in Doña Ana County on Monday morning.
According to NMRoads, the accident occurred at mile marker 151 at around 6:43 a.m. Emergency crews responded to the scene, closing the right driving lane to manage the situation.
