Wesley Chapel, FL. – A 19-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a collision at an intersection in Wesley Chapel on Friday morning.
According to the police, the accident happened around 9:39 a.m. at the intersection of Boyette Road and State Road 54.
A 40-year-old Wesley Chapel man was driving a Mercedes SUV southbound on Boyette Road when he struck a motorcycle traveling westbound on SR-54.
The 19-year-old rider was seriously injured and was transported to a local hospital where he later died.
The driver of the SUV and his 25-year-old female passenger were unhurt.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
