EGG HARBOR TWP., N.J. — A head-on collision involving a box truck and a Jeep Cherokee left one man dead Wednesday afternoon.
The crash occurred around 2:45 p.m. on the 1700 block of Somers Point Mays Landing Road, according to local authorities. A box truck was stopped in traffic to reverse into a driveway when 64-year-old Isaac Wogansky crashed head-on into the vehicle.
Witnesses reported that traffic was slowing as drivers awaited the truck’s maneuver. Police stated Wogansky lost control and was unable to stop in time. He was transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, where he later died.
There were no reported injuries to the truck driver. The incident remains under investigation by local authorities.
