GREENE COUNTY, Mo. (KY3) – A Republic man died following a motorcycle collision with a semi-truck Saturday afternoon.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred on Sawyer Road, west of Highway MM, at 1:15 p.m.
Troopers reported that a 49-year-old man from Kansas City driving a semi-truck made a left turn into the path of an eastbound Kawasaki motorcycle.
The motorcyclist, a 67-year-old Republic man, was ejected and later pronounced dead at Cox South Hospital. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the incident.
This marks Troop D’s 118th fatality for 2025.
