A 31-year-old man from Colony was found dead on Friday evening following a dirt bike accident near his hometown.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, Taylor Davis was traveling south on Southwest Jefferson Road when he veered left of center, crossed the northbound lane, and drove off a bridge approximately a quarter mile north of Southwest 400th Road, landing in a creek.
Davis was pronounced dead at the scene. He had been reported missing on Friday afternoon after not being seen since leaving a residence in Colony on Thursday evening.
Authorities said a search for Davis was initiated early Friday evening, involving the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office and drone technology.
