WALTON COUNTY, GA (Nov. 3, 2025) – A Monroe man suffered serious injuries in a motorcycle crash on Bethany Church Road on October 26.
According to Walton County Fire Rescue, responders were dispatched at approximately 10:18 a.m. to a single-vehicle incident. The motorcycle was discovered off the roadway in a ditch.
Barry Shane Bouchard, 49, was transported to Piedmont Athens Hospital by Walton EMS, according to authorities. The Georgia State Patrol reported that Bouchard lost control of the motorcycle while traveling west, veered off the right shoulder, overturned, and came to rest on its left side against an embankment.
Due to a potential head injury, Bouchard was unable to provide a statement. Authorities indicated that his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing, and no lane closures were reported.
