Motorcycle Accident Claims Life Thursday Morning on Beartooth Highway.

A motorcyclist died in an accident on the Beartooth Highway on Thursday, October 26, 2023, around 10 a.m.

The incident occurred near the junction of U.S. 212 and Wyoming Highway 296. According to WyoLink, reports indicated that the motorcyclist was “down an embankment.”

First responders, including Red Lodge Fire Rescue, began CPR on the victim shortly after arrival. A First Flight of Wyoming helicopter landed at the scene around 11:15 a.m.

Monte McClain, a spokesman for the Park County Sheriff’s Office, confirmed one fatality. The investigation was subsequently taken over by the Wyoming Highway Patrol (WHP). As of noon, no further details had been released.

Emergency Response

Red Lodge Fire Rescue dispatched a fire truck and ambulance. A source from the agency stated they were still on the scene and could not provide further updates.
