SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) – A motorcycle accident involving a box truck left one rider dead on Saturday night on Boston Road.
The collision occurred just after 11 p.m. on June 11 at the 1600 Block of Boston Road, according to the Springfield Police Department. A motorcycle rider was pronounced dead at the scene, while a passenger was transported to Baystate Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the box truck remained at the scene following the accident. Authorities reported that an investigation is ongoing, conducted by the Springfield Police Department’s Traffic Unit.
