A 21-year-old man is in critical condition after a motorcycle crash in Lisbon Falls, Maine, on Wednesday at 3:17 p.m.
According to the Lisbon Police Department, the incident occurred on Route 196 near School Street. Preliminary investigations indicate the motorcyclist, riding a Kawasaki Ninja eastbound, lost control and slid into the westbound lane, colliding with a Hyundai Sonata.
Emergency responders transported the motorcyclist to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston before he was airlifted by LifeFlight to Maine Medical Center in Portland. His identity has not been released, and authorities have not provided an update on his condition.
The driver of the Sonata, a 37-year-old man from Winthrop, was not injured in the incident.
An investigation into the cause of the accident is ongoing.
