JAY, Maine — A collision between two motorcycles on Route 4 near Raymond’s Way left one man dead and another injured on Sunday at 5:20 p.m.
According to police, the two motorcycles were traveling together when they collided, resulting in both operators losing control. The deceased motorcyclist was identified as 47-year-old Benjamin St. Pierre.
The second motorcyclist, 44 years old, sustained serious injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital. Authorities have not disclosed the extent of his injuries.
Emergency response included local law enforcement and medical aid. The incident prompted temporary lane closures while the scene was cleared.
