Motorcycle crash disrupts Baltimore rush hour traffic.

BALTIMORE — A motorcycle crash on I-95 claimed one life and caused significant traffic delays during the morning commute on Tuesday.

The incident occurred before 7 a.m. on the northbound side, just prior to Russell Street (MD-295) in Baltimore City.

Maryland Transportation Authority reported that the crash involved three vehicles: a Suzuki motorcycle, a Hyundai sedan, and a Chevy SUV.

The motorcycle rider was pronounced dead at the scene, while the two other drivers sustained no injuries.

Traffic came to a standstill, reaching back to I-695 at certain points, as all lanes were blocked. State Highway crews diverted vehicles onto Caton Avenue.

The roadway was reopened by 11 a.m. Authorities have not released details regarding the cause of the collision, and the rider’s identity remains undisclosed.
