KINGSFORD, Mich. (WLUC) — One person is critically injured following a motorcycle crash into a guardrail on S. Westwood Ave. at W. Breitung Ave. on October 20 at approximately 9:42 p.m.
According to the Kingsford Public Safety Department, first responders found the motorcyclist ejected after striking the guardrail. The driver, whose identity has not been released, was transported to Marshfield Dickinson Hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries.
Authorities are investigating the accident, with speed and alcohol believed to be contributing factors.
All roads have since reopened following the incident. The Kingsford Public Safety Department was assisted by DCSO Dispatch, Integrity Care Ambulance, Michigan State Police, and Iron Mountain Police.
