COTTAGE GROVE, MINN. (Valley News Live) – A motorcyclist was killed on Sunday morning, July 26, in a collision with an SUV at Highway 61 and Highway 95.
The crash occurred around 9 a.m. in Washington County, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
A 2024 Aprilia RSV4 motorcycle was traveling northwest on Highway 61 when the rider lost control and collided with a southbound 2025 Honda Passport at the intersection, authorities said.
The motorcyclist, a 28-year-old man from Hastings, was pronounced dead at the scene. His name will be released on Monday, July 27, according to the State Patrol.
The driver of the Honda Passport, 62-year-old Jess Alan Brown from Woodbury, was not injured.
The Minnesota State Patrol is conducting an investigation with assistance from Washington County, the Cottage Grove Police Department, and Cottage Grove EMS.
