BRISTOL, Tenn. (WCYB) — A motorcyclist was killed in a crash on Volunteer Parkway in Bristol, Tennessee, on Thursday morning.
The incident occurred around 6:15 a.m. in the 2600 block of Volunteer Parkway. Authorities said a pickup truck crossed the roadway and collided with a northbound motorcycle.
The motorcyclist, identified as 43-year-old Joshua Lee Mumpower of Bristol, was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Emergency responders from the Bristol Police Department and local medical units arrived at the scene. The roadway was briefly closed while an investigation took place.
