LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) – A motorcyclist died in a crash on I-210 early Wednesday morning, according to the Lake Charles Police Department.
Officers responded to the accident at 4:23 a.m. near the Enterprise Boulevard exit.
Authorities said the motorcyclist was riding a white motorcycle eastbound at high speed when it collided with an inner guard rail, ejecting the driver, who was reportedly struck by subsequent vehicles.
The driver’s identity has not been released as authorities are still contacting next of kin. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
I-210 East was closed near the Enterprise exit for several hours while emergency personnel cleared the scene.
