Motorcyclist killed in collision with semi truck in western Wisconsin.

NEW HAVEN TOWNSHIP, Wis. (Local News Wire) – A motorcycle crash involving a semi-truck left one man dead on County Road K on Thursday, October 5, at approximately 4:43 p.m.

According to the Dunn County Sheriff’s Office, the collision occurred in the N14000 block of the roadway. First responders discovered the motorcycle and a 43-year-old man on the ground; the man was not wearing a helmet and sustained severe injuries.

The individual was airlifted to Regions Hospital in Minnesota but later succumbed to his injuries. No occupants in the semi-truck were reported injured.

Emergency services at the scene included Boyceville Ambulance, Boyceville Fire Department, Menomonie Fire Department, Dunn County First Responders, Wisconsin State Patrol, and Life Link.

Authorities reported that the motorcycle was traveling south while the semi was heading north at the time of the incident, which took place as both vehicles navigated a curve.

The crash is under investigation by the Dunn County Sheriff’s Office, Wisconsin State Patrol, and Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office in Minnesota.

Further details, including the identity of the motorcycle driver, have not yet been released.
