Motorcyclist Identified in Fatal Crash on I-84 Off Ramp
A motorcyclist died following a crash on the off ramp to Northeast 122nd Avenue from eastbound I-84 on July 31, 2026, at 9:22 p.m.
The motorcyclist has been identified as Sean Mathews, 58, of Portland. Family members have been notified.
According to the Portland Police Bureau (PPB), the rider was found down and unresponsive at the scene and was pronounced dead by paramedics. The PPB Major Crash Team is conducting an investigation.
Authorities stated that the off ramp to Northeast 122nd Avenue (exit 10) from I-84 eastbound, as well as the on ramp to eastbound I-84 from Northeast 122nd Avenue, are closed during the investigation.
