Motorcyclist dies after crash on I-81N in Botetourt County

BOTETOURT COUNTY, Va. – A 36-year-old motorcyclist died in a collision on I-81 North on Tuesday, according to Virginia State Police.
The incident occurred shortly after 6 p.m. when Andrew David Lee Camp, of Callaway, rear-ended a 2002 Honda pickup truck while weaving in and out of traffic. Authorities confirmed Camp was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash and succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
The driver of the Honda was uninjured. The Virginia State Police Crash Reconstruction Team was dispatched to the scene.
No charges are pending as the investigation continues.
