Terryville Man, Thomas Reading, Killed in Idaho Motorcycle Accident Thursday

Idaho County, Idaho (July 11,  2023) – Authorities have identified the man from Terryville who died on Thursday afternoon in a motorcycle crash in Idaho, according to a police report.

Thomas Reading, 75, died when his motorcycle was struck by another motorcycle on U.S. Highway 12 near milepost 140 just after noon Thursday, July 6, 2023.

Reading was riding a Honda GL1800 bike eastbound on U.S.12 when he was hit by a westbound Ducati Multistrada motorcycle driven by a 55-year-old man from Sidney, British Columbia.

According to a report, the Sidney rider made an illegal pass around a dump truck while heading westbound in the eastbound lanes and collided head-on with Reading’s Honda.

Reading sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The Sidney man was airlifted to a nearby hospital.

No additional details regarding the crash were provided.

The incident remains under investigation.
