AIKEN COUNTY, S.C. (WACH) — A motorcyclist died following a crash Friday night on Interstate 20 in Aiken County, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
The incident occurred around 7:55 p.m. near mile marker 13 and involved two vehicles.
Authorities confirmed that the three passengers in a 2018 Ford Fusion were unharmed.
The rider of a 2018 Indian motorcycle was transported to a Wellstar emergency department, where they later succumbed to their injuries.
Initial reports indicate that the motorcycle collided with the Ford Fusion from behind before veering off the road to the left.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
