NORFOLK, Va. — A man died following a multi-vehicle crash on I-64 westbound in Norfolk early Monday morning, according to Virginia State Police (VSP).
VSP reported that troopers responded to the scene at approximately 6:21 a.m., where a three-vehicle collision involved a Honda motorcycle, a GMC Denali, and a Nissan Rogue. The motorcyclist, 40-year-old Alexander Schreifels, sustained serious injuries and later died at the hospital.
Authorities also noted a separate incident on-site, where a Toyota 4Runner rear-ended a Ford Explorer. One man suffered non-life-threatening injuries from that crash.
Investigations into both incidents are ongoing, VSP stated.
