Motorcyclist killed in suspected road rage confrontation.

A 33-year-old motorcyclist was killed Wednesday evening in Bay City after being struck by a pickup truck following a reported road rage incident.

Bay City Department of Public Safety officers and medical crews responded to South Chilson and West Jane streets around 6 p.m. on September 23. Authorities reported that a black Chevrolet Silverado ran over the motorcyclist during the altercation.

Medstar Ambulance and the Bay City Fire Division provided on-scene medical assistance. Despite their efforts, the motorcyclist, a local resident, was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.

Investigations revealed the motorcyclist and the 42-year-old Silverado driver, also from Bay City, had engaged in a road rage confrontation prior to the crash. The driver was subsequently arrested and taken to the Bay County Jail.
